Why won't my video play? (May 30, 2007)
 

For those of us who like to watch films from our computers, the issue of codecs will inevitably come up. You don't need to understand how a codec works, to know that yours will not. Media player will even tell you that you don't have the correct codec to play a specific file.

Hopefully this can help... MediaCoder claims to be a free and universal program which can be used to change your audio/video file from one format to another.
